Right now
A snapshot of what I am working on and what I am focusing on at the moment. Not a resume, but the here and now.

What I am reading
Right now I am deep in the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown, already on book 4. What a fantastic series! Fresh out of a gift from my mom, Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman is waiting for me as well. I am curious whether my mom got my taste right. 😅
Beyond that, I am also drawn to more thoughtful titles about anger and gender roles, such as “Verdammt wütend” by Linn Strømsborg and “Down Girl” by Kate Manne.
How I spend my working hours
Professionally, most of my energy goes into scoopOS, which I help develop for Staudacher. On the side, I am building Scope, my own small AI project management tool. With it I am trying to sketch out what the future of development could look like. Humans do the planning, the AI works through the tickets overnight, and the next day a human reviews and releases. For now that is all just for my private projects, but maybe one day it will turn into software for other people.
Other than that, this website here is of course a permanent construction site. It runs on Astro and was built mostly with Claude. Some of the text too, partly written, partly just corrected. Roughly 70% of the words are still mine, though.
What I am learning

I refused to for the longest time, but the moment has come to get into AI-assisted work (a lot of Claude). My craziest day so far was July 31, 2026, with 102 contributions. Of course I did not review a single line of code that day, but I did at least test every result. That way of working only holds up for private projects, though.
I am trying to understand what AI can do and what AI needs from me, and I am torn between hate and fascination. But I will forever argue that the human has to own the plan, review the code, and test the result, at least on the job. “Oh, that is true, you are right, I will fix that.” still comes up far too often, and a good developer can spot those mistakes and prevent them up front.
Away from the computer
My biggest goal for next year is a middle-distance triathlon. Until then I still have a few health matters to sort out and, of course, adjust my training accordingly. After that it will probably take up a fair chunk of my free time.
